Time Traveling with Nostalgic Negative Film Simulation on Sony
This is not a new film simulation, but finally, I found some time to organize images from last summer and wanted to showcase one of my favorite recipes. The Nostalgic Neg film simulation.
P.S - this is not a replication of the Fujifilm nostalgic negative film simulation. I ended up with this name before I found out about these new Fujifilm simulations - this custom profile has a nostalgic film look to it - so the name seemed appropriate.
This nostalgic neg simulation has been simmering since summer's end, biding its time to emerge. With tones of blushing rose and bright tangerine, you’ll always have wonderful skin tones when using this film simulation. The greens are olive-tinted, and the skies sometimes switch from being teal to magenta.
Warm colors are the essence of nostalgic neg, allowing memories and moments to be cherished. The recurring notes of pink, orange, and olive colors, feel both nostalgic and timeless, invoking a sentimental sense of nostalgia for days gone by.
That's what I felt when creating and shooting with this film simulation for Sony. How about you?
All shots were taken with the Sony RX100 VI.
No filter. No ND. Just pure magic.
Straight out of camera.
This film simulation for Sony invokes warm and pinkish tones. If you like this one, you might also like the Kodachrome 64 film recipe. (a crowd favorite).
