I went out on weekend and tried several film simulation in Guangzhou. Finding that the proposed Sony classic negative is quit suitble for the old community, which adds some orange to the buildings, and makes the green looks warmer. The SOOC jpgs look retro, I like it a lot. The camera is Sony A6400 by the way.
I am new to photography therefore the pictures might not look professional š. If Iād like to use this film simulation to shoot portraits, how should I adjust the recipes? Because the skin tone of pedestrians looks much too dark and orange, is there any suggestions or ideas to adjust the make skin tone more white or so called good looking?
Hei!
I like your shots, just make sure to keep the camera straight especially when there are straight lines from buildings and more.
As for the tweaking of the profile:
Bring color filter to B5
Color Phase 0
Saturation +5
Color Depth:
R -3
Y -2
This will help in making skin tones brighter and also match the picture profile to the Sony a6700 reference. Work with the color depth on the Red and Yellow channels to make skin tones even brighter.
Send over more samples after adjustments to see the results.
