I paid 8$ for this one From china, I got the medium one and its waaaay too strong but the build quality itself is nice. Ill probably pick up the lower strength one as well
Fkn nice! Thanks for sharing, really great picture.
Yeah I purchased the same filter. After checking reviews and photos I believe I picked the lower strength and I quite like it, but sometimes it's a little bit too strong for me, I am going more for a subtle glow nowadays and if needed I'll add more in post.
Just purchased a Black Mist 1/8 from 7artisans which costed 35$, really good price, and the results I've seen resemble very much the subtle halo effects of the glimmer glass. I can't wait to receive and test it out.
The results are pretty good with the NEEWER. I haven't had them for very long but I just got in the 1/8 cause I felt like the 1/4 was too much in a lot of situations. Which I think is the case with a lot of the cheaper filters.
i use a promist 1/4 but it think it's way too strong for my taste.
Would love to try out the Glimmer glass for a very subtle softness and glow, but it's nearly 200€ in Europe because of custom tax, and that's a little bit out of my budget at the moment.
If anybody knows something similar to glimmer glass but cheaper version, let us know.
I use a promist on 1/2 that works really nicely but only in certain situations, I actually have 2 and will sometimes stack them to get a full 1, but that combois suuuper rare and only for specific shots. I really want to try the glimmer glass as well!
I often use the K&F 1/4 on my Sigma Contemporary 65 F2 because it is clinically sharp.
Coming back with a suggestion.
7Artisan Black Mist Filter.
Subtle and classy, been using it for the past 6 months and I'm loving the results.
I have shot multiple Blog posts showcasing that filter in combination with the sigma 24 f2 contemporary, which is my fav combo right now.
Here are a couple blog shot with this combo

NEEWER Black Diffusion 1/8 and 1/4 I mainly use this brand cause it's super cheap to experiment with different strengths and filter sizes.
