I’m new to using the film simulations and I’m trying to setup Classic Chrome. I’m confused about what white balance I should be using. In the pdf it says 4400k whereas a blog post from last year set it to 3800k. I think 3800k seemed closer to Classic Chrome from Fuji.
Can you help me understand what’s the correct values? I haven’t checked other recipes yet for any differences between the blog post and the pdf.
Also, what’s the best way of having a quick access to picture profiles and the white balance. Is the best solution to set them in memory slots and recall?
Thanks, in the mean time should I use the white balance settings from the pdf or the blog post?
Normally when I calibrate colors to a fuji camera, I check both images on a single screen and compare with a vector scope to ensure I am bringing them as close as possible.
In this scenario, being in nature I adjusted the recipes based on the EVF only. On the spot it felt like the Classic Chrome was a bit too cold, so I raised the kelvin to improve the skin tones. Hence, the difference in the temperature values.
I will finely recalibrate all Fuji recipes to match as closely as possible in the next update.
Thanks for letting me know!
