Hi! Im trying the latest Kodak gold 200 film simulation, but Im not getting the expected results. Here's a test of a JPEG straight out of the camera with the recipe applied:
Vs the same picture with a preste applied in Lightroom, which shows the result I expected:
Is there any other config I should be applying to my Sony a6400? What am I missing?
Thanks a lot for explaining the difference in kodak gold, I was under the impressions that the teal n gold look was always the same look. I will check out the changes in kelvin and color that you suggested and your presets too!
By the looks of it, I think you applied the FILM preset. Also, it's not clear if you applied the preset on the JPG or the RAW file? Can you mention please?
Each film simulation has 2 presets, the first one that is matching the RAW file with the in-camera JPG look. The second one was designed to use all the available color grading tools of the editing software to get closer to the authentic film look. The second preset will bring you closer to the real film stock. Both presets are meant to be used on the RAW file only.
From the image you showed me, which also has grain, it seems you applied the FILM look, not the JPG look. The Film look will definitely look different. But not sure why yours looks so different temperature wise.
Kodak Gold should be warmer, like shown here. This is the latest version.
Your image certainly looks very cold compared to how they should look. Have you also used the temperature settings from the PDF?
