Are there profiles included in the preset pack? Just curious because I don’t use presets often, and it would be great to implement the simulations into my raw workflow through color profiles.
Sorry, I should have clarified a bit more. I’m speaking about actual color profiles that sort of act as the base of an image within Lightroom. Here’s an example of I sometimes use cobalt image profiles to achieve a “filmic” look with my raw files.
No, the preset pack does not include profiles, and it’s unlikely that they will be included in the future. While profiles are similar to presets, they are non-adjustable, which limits their flexibility to some extent. For example, if you apply a high-contrast profile and later want to reduce the contrast, you’ll be working against the profile’s settings. In contrast, with presets, you’re working within the preset’s parameters, giving you more flexibility and a less restrictive, more editable process.
What do you mean by “profiles” being included in the preset pack? Are you referring to the picture profiles aka film simulations? Just want to make sure I understand correctly.
To clarify:
The presets pack includes presets for editing RAW photos.
The film simulation pack contains in-camera simulations that mimic classic film looks.
There’s also a bundle available, which includes both the presets and film simulations, as well as the Red Halation brushes.
Thank you for that! I often wondered why I struggled to get the profiles to cooperate at times.

Let me know if that clears things up!
