Hi Alex. I love your work. Most other solutions online are presets that need to be applied in post but you just make everything works SOOC. It is truely wonderful.
I really like the EktaChrome and KodaChrome (v2 in particular) b.t.w. They give some unique look that cannot be found elsewhere. Nice work indeed. Even when I'm going to edit in post, those profiles simplify things a lot. Really love that.
I have one problem though (might be a dump one) that need some help. When playing around with the profiles, I find that whenever the color mode is set to S.Gamut (including 3 and Cine), the color depth setting doesn't seem to apply. The image color stays the same for whatever depth values I chose in any of the color settings.
I am using an A6300, with Gamma Assist turned off.
Also, not related but might be worth to mention, I find my camera sometimes forgetting profile settings in the past. Then I discovered that it is better not to unplug the battery right after you switch it off. The camera needs some time to remember the settings and shut down or it will forget everything you just set. I learn that the hard way.
Thanks for the explanation. Guess that would be another reason for an upgrade!
Personally I don't think my phtoes are good enough to share in public. Plus most of them are pictures of my wife. But I will definitely consider sharing some of them in the future!
Hi and welcome!
So happy to hear you're enjoying the recipes, would love to see some of your shots if you don't mind sharing on the forum :D
I think your problem is common on older camera models. There was another member telling me about the same issue with S-Gamut color mode on the Sony a6300. The Color Depth doesn't seem to be working when put in combination with S-Gamut color modes. Don't know the reason to be honest, but newer cameras don't have that limitation.
Furthermore, it's normal for the camera to forget your settings if you pull out the battery right after switching off the camera. It actually takes it a couple seconds to save into memory and shut down the camera, so don't take out the battery right after shutting it down. It happened to me as well, to change settings quickly or takes pictures and immediately turn off the camera, which resulted in corrupted images or lost settings because the camera processor cannot save the data fast enough. Of course that was the issue with older cameras which now comparing to newer models, I realize were quite slow with the processing power.
