HI everyone,
Just wanted to share my first results with the Cinestill 800T NighttimeRecipe. Shot wit SonyA7CR and Voightlander Lenses. I have to say that I am pleased with the instant results with this receipe. Despite the sensor percceives colors differently than the 6700 I got away with the receipt settings. Nice work, Alex !
Hei, thanks for sharing!
When taking photos in sodium vapour light, it's extremely hard to balance out the predominantly yellow-amber hues. That is the reason Cinestill is warmer in your shots.
If you want a cooler tone, I suggest using a temperature below 2500K. You can achieve this by using 1 of the 3 custom white balance presets. Simply go into white balance, scroll down to custom 1 and press "Set". Next, point your camera to a yellow-amber light and hit OK. Just make sure you don't point the camera to an overexposed spot. It won't be able to balance out the colors.
Your camera will try to balance out the predominant yellow colors from the sodium vapor light, by lowering the temperature below 2500K. Finally, refine the color on your liking by experimenting with the color filter settings.
